I am a total shopaholic during the holiday season, for others, but also for me. I like to revamp my winter wardrobe when all the sales drop, so today I am sharing some of the pieces I have recently purchased and are some of my most loved. I have been on the lookout for more outfits to wear to church and to have more pieces to wear for holiday get-togethers. Let me know what you think about my latest finds!
Stop right here…this outfit! O.M.G! This outfit came together as I was walking through my local Cato Fashions and I was so happy that everything matched so well and I was able to create this look! This faux suede trench coat is so soft and lightweight, it’s a perfect to layer and wear it as a duster for more versatility. It has a belt (I tied it in the back), pockets, and it’s machine washable. It fits TTS (wearing a large for reference), see it here. I styled it with a mock neck lightweight sweater in the same color, see it here (I am also wearing a large in the sweater) and a navy plaid pull-on pencil skirt that has the light pinkish-mauve color in it and matches perfectly. The skirt fits TTS, wearing a medium for referrence, it has a knit feel to it and has good stretch in it. See the skirt here.
I love to purchase matching pieces because I can split them up and wear them multiple ways for more outfits; so I’m stretching my dollar further, which my budget loves! I stumbled upon this set this week and instantly wanted to bring it home. Since I don’t work outside the home anymore, I like to make sure I have plenty of options for church, dinner out with my family, or if I need a nicer outfit for an occasion that may arise. These pants are simply awesome! They are a pull-on style, with a slightly wider front waistband (elastic in the back) that flattens the tummy, plus they have pockets! These fit TTS, and I am wearing a medium in these for reference. See them here. The blazer has a semi-relaxed fit and looks great with jeans (see below how I styled it with girlfriend jeans). I found this Cassia Sherpa Bomber jacket at Banana Republic Factory and couldn’t wait to wear it. As you know, I do have a jacket/coat obsession, and it’s becoming a serious problem, lol. This jacket is lined, the color I’m wearing is beechwood, and it does have a slight mauvey-pink tone to it in person. This is a well-made, quality jacket that is lightweight but also thick enough to give you warmth when needed.
